Cowbell is easy to clean. If you use Cowbell outdoors or in direct sun, you may occasionally find some natural algae growth at the base of the reservoir after a few weeks. We recommend twisting off the spike and handwashing your Cowbell reservoir like you would any other water bottle. We don't recommend putting the lid or reservoir in the dishwasher as it may cause some warping at extremely high temperatures.
The spike and cone are dishwasher safe but you can also rinse it by hand or clean it with a brush if you find that anything has plugged the ceramic cone.
